Our Mission
The Delarose Family Foundation exists to bring hope, dignity, and opportunity to vulnerable communities—especially refugees, displaced families, and underserved youth—through compassionate action, education, and long-term support.
Founded by Delarose, a former refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo who once called the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement home, the foundation is built on lived experience, empathy, and an unshakable belief that every human life has value—regardless of origin, status, or circumstance.
Our mission is rooted in the desire to break cycles of poverty and displacement, not only by meeting urgent needs, but by investing in the resilience and potential of individuals. We serve communities facing hardship with a focus on:
-
Access to education – because knowledge opens doors to independence and leadership
-
Basic needs support – such as food, clothing, healthcare, and shelter for those in crisis
-
Community empowerment – by promoting self-reliance, skill-building, and local leadership
-
Advocacy and awareness – to shift the narrative around refugees and vulnerable populations
We are committed to walking alongside those we serve—not just for a moment, but for the long road of healing, rebuilding, and becoming. We believe that hope, when shared, multiplies, and through partnerships with people like you, we are helping to restore futures, one family at a time.
