About Us
The Delarose Family Foundation was founded by Delarose, a former refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who now lives in the United States as a proud citizen. After spending several years in the Kyaka II Refugee Settlement in Uganda, he emerged from hardship with a deep sense of purpose: to give back and uplift those who are still struggling—just as he once was.
What began as a personal promise has grown into a mission-driven foundation dedicated to serving vulnerable communities, supporting refugees, and creating opportunities through education, basic needs, and community empowerment.

Our Founder’s Story
Delarose’s life journey—from surviving the instability of war-torn Congo, to finding refuge in a crowded camp, to becoming a U.S. citizen—is a powerful story of resilience and transformation. He founded this organization to serve as a bridge of hope for others facing similar struggles. Through the foundation, he leads with humility, compassion, and a lived understanding of what true hardship means.
